Excellent quality of speakers covering a broad range of topics
On September 15th 2011, more than 150 key financial and market regulators, industry practitioners and observers gathered in Seoul for The Bellwether Series: South Korea. It was the final edition of the four-part series which has taken the Asia conferences team on tour to four of the region’s major cities in four months: Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney and Seoul.
The event opened with a keynote address from Kim Seok Dong, chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), who spoke about South Korea’s key policies for the year ahead. A number of other notable financial regulators participated throughout the day, including the finance minister, Bahk Jae-wan; The Bank of Korea's deputy governor, Jun Il Kim; and head of the National Pension Service’s Global Equities, Joon Ahn.
